2-day Course on
Understanding and Managing Occupational Hygiene Risk

The Hong Kong Occupational & Environmental Health Academy (HOEHA) is an independent, not-for-profit training and research organization. Our mission is to protect and improve occupational health for the working populations and environmental health for all.

The main strategies include capacity building for occupational and environmental health professionals through integrated and specialized training, assessment of occupational and environmental health needs and challenges with evaluation of the strategies in addressing such needs through research, and facilitation of evidence-based practices in the field through knowledge transfer with accreditation and consultancy projects.

General Objectives

The objective of this course is to equip students with the theory and application principles of occupational hygiene at the workplace. On successful completion of this course the student should have a basic understanding of: i) The range of hazards and their hazard recognition techniques, ii) Sources and potential routes of exposure, iii) Hazard evaluation, exposure assessment and the measurement processes, and iv) Methods of exposure control and management.
The course would be considered by the Labour Department as satisfying the requirements of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programmes for the renewal or revalidation of registration of Registered Safety Officer (RSO) under The Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors)(Amendment) Regulation.

To qualify for the award of Attendance Certificate, participates are required to have 100% attendance.

Fees and Registration

Tuition fee for early bird registration is HK $2,100 (registration must be completed on or before June 1, 2016). All registration received after this date is considered regular registration and the tuition fee is HK $2,500.
Fees must be paid before the commencement of the course. Fees paid are not refundable or transferable with the exception of the course being cancelled by HOEHA due to unforeseeable circumstances.
